Son of Thomas Miles Richardson senior, Edward Richardson painted landscapes in watercolour much in the manner of his brother T M Richardson junior. He did not begin to exhibit until quite late in life, contributing 2 works to the Royal Academy between 1865 and 1858 and 187 works to the New Watercolour Society's exhibitions following his admission as an associate in 1859. Painted widely across Europe and Switzerland.
